Established in 2009, the TCG Summer Experience is our Flagship Initiative, built on the belief that every child deserves to smile. Every Day. The Summer Experience is a community environment in which the youngest scholars share space with older scholars in education, health, and wellness experiences. From the classroom to the field, mentors to mentees, the Summer Experience create memories and sets scholars on a path to make their dreams come true, today and everyday moving forward.

Capital Spelling Bee - Scripps National Spelling Bee - Sacramento Region Qualifier

TCG Memorial Academy is the Official Sacramento Region Partner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The 3rd Annual Capital Spelling Bee will send two (2) representatives from the fifteen (15) county Sacramento Region to the National Spelling Bee stage.

TCG Memorial Academy is the Official Sacramento Region Partner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. 2026 marks the 1st Annual SCUSD Community Schools Spelling Bee, which provides a qualifier from Sacramento City Unified School District a direct path to the national stage.

STEM+ Sports

We implement multiple programs provided by LearnFresh, including NBA Math Hoops and NBA Math Hoops Live, MLB Players STEM League, and MLS STEM Goals. Our partnership with LearnFresh allows scholars to engage STEM curriculum in game-based platforms. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in competitions and experiences beyond the school site to extend the impact of LearnFresh programs.
